About Our Church
The Lighthouse exist to worship God and serving His people. Our Mission & Vision
Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith
We want to see the lives of men and women in Ormoc City, Leyte, to be radically transformed through knowing Christ personally and making Christ known to all people.
We also want to strengthen families in the fellowship, and strengthen fellowship in the families.
Mission & Purpose
We exist to obey the Great Commission, to make disciple of all nation. We preach the Word of God based on the Bible and the Bible alone.
We believe that we are blessed to be a blessing, and that God called us for a higher purpose.
We fellowship in the unity that God has given us through His love and Spirit. And this is the testimony that we want to live with.
Our Beliefs & Values
These are the core beliefs and values that we are trying to live out as a church. If you have the same passion and love, you are welcome to join us and be a part of the church.
Unity
The church is called for unity. The Lord Jesus in John 17:11 prayed: “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.”
Church
There is only one true church that the Lord Jesus started in Matt.16:18 and from this church, the disciples planted more local churches as recorded in the book of Acts. This disciple making and church planting efforts was continued by the disciple’s disciples and so and so forth as obedience to the Great Commission in Matt. 28.
Love
The Lord reached out to humanity on the basis of LOVE. “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16). In the same way, we should be driven by the same love in serving Him and His people.
Salvation
Salvation can only be achieved by grace through faith. It’s not by works lest no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8). This is inline with what the Lord Jesus said, “…whoever believes in him (the Son) will not perish but have everlasting life.
Eternity
We believe that there is life after death which is called eternity. This is consistent with what Jesus said, “…will not perish but have everlasting life.”
